Attitudes & Attire

Attitudes & Attire is a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting personal growth for women seeking self-sufficiency.  Our program provides tools that raise self-esteem, promote ethics and then builds the confidence necessary to develop successful life skills.  Consequently, for over 21 years, Attitudes & Attire has assisted low-income women.  They develop the confidence women need to alter their life situations and secure self-sufficiency.  Furthermore, they often bridge the gap between traditional social service agencies and their clients’ ability to secure a position in the workforce.  They are the only organization in Dallas and the surrounding areas offering a unique combination of self-esteem and confidence building along with an emphasis on job readiness and professional clothing.

Our program

Because their program assists women like Joliean.  Not originally from Texas, her weekend trip to check on her mother with Alzheimer’s turned into a permanent stay.  While attending the Attitudes & Attire workshop she realized her situation resulted in the loss of her self-esteem.  Joliean says she has seen a paradigm shift in herself.  “What started as a negative has turned into a positive.  What was the sand in my shell, is now making a pearl.”   

Upon shopping in the Attitudes & Attireour beautiful boutique stocked with donations from the community is the icing on the cake for Attitudes & Attire clients.  Joliean says the “Jones New York suit, purse and matching shoes make me feel amazing.”
